Africa demands more lead time than anywhere else we work. The Mara crossings are late July through September; Botswana's Okavango is at its strangest in the May flood; Namibia is a cool-season country, June through August. We plan Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, and Morocco — the latter for the High Atlas in April and Fes in November, not the summer riads. Camps book a year out. We start early.
